Tragic Death of 13-Year-Old Rape Victim After Stillbirth in Peshawar

In a heartbreaking incident reported by Geo News on Sunday, a 13-year-old rape victim from Phandu, Peshawar, lost her life after giving birth to a stillborn baby. The victim's mother initially took her to a lady health visitor for an abortion, but her condition deteriorated, prompting a transfer to Lady Reading Hospital in the city.

According to the police, the teenager, who was five months pregnant, underwent an operation to deliver the stillborn baby. Sadly, the victim passed away in critical condition after giving birth. Superintendent of Police Fakirabad Division, Dr. Muhammad Umar, confirmed the tragic outcome.

The police have announced that legal action will be taken against the lady health visitor for negligence. Additionally, a suspect believed to be responsible for the rape has been arrested. A DNA test will be conducted on the stillborn baby to establish a match with the suspect, and the test will be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

During the investigation, the suspect confessed to sexually assaulting the girl under the pretense of fraud approximately five months ago, according to the police. SP Umar emphasized that the suspect would face punishment in accordance with the legal requirements.

Honour Killing Claims Life of 15-Year-Old Girl

In another distressing incident in Peshawar, a 15-year-old girl was tragically killed in the name of honour in Kochiān. The police apprehended the suspects, who were the girl's father and two brothers, as they attempted to secretly bury the victim.

According to the police, the father, with the assistance of his sons, fatally shot the daughter. The suspects had planned a clandestine burial to conceal the crime. During the investigation, all three suspects confessed to their involvement in the killing.
