Prominent Figure Adil Raja Arrested in London for Inciting Violence and Arson in Pakistan
Adil Raja, a retired major of the Pakistan Army, who gained significant popularity on social media platforms over the past few months, has been apprehended in London. Known for his unwavering support for the ousted Prime Minister Imran Khan and his relentless criticism of Pakistan's military establishment, Raja was born in Peshawar in 1978 to Major (Retired) Umar Farooq Raja, an officer of the Pakistan Army.
Having graduated from the prestigious Pakistan Military Academy with a bachelor's degree in general science, military science, and international relations, Adil Raja further pursued his academic endeavors and obtained a master's degree from the University of Peshawar.
Adil Raja is married to Sabine Kiyani, a British Pakistani residing in London. While he reportedly fled Pakistan several months ago, his parents continue to reside in the country.
The charges leveled against Adil Raja include inciting violence and arson within Pakistan, despite being located abroad. This development has shed light on the individuals who, from the safety of foreign territories, instigate and fuel violence within Pakistan's borders. The arrest marks a significant turn of events in the ongoing efforts to address and curb such provocative actions that disrupt peace and stability within the country.
